Brian and the Bob Cullen Racing team checked into the Plymouth Dirt Track in Plymouth, WI for the $4,000 to win Dirt King’s event. This is the first of 3 events Brian will be running in Wisconsin this week with tomorrow night joining the World of Outlaw Late Models at the Oshkosh Speedzone in Oshkosh, WI before meeting back up with the Outlaw tour to run the USA Nationals at the Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, WI.
Brian started the night out as king by setting the quickest time in hot laps and would then follow it up qualifying 1st in his group and 1st overall for the event. Starting from the pole of the 4th heat race Brian would jump out to an early lead to never look back capturing the heat win that would put him into the winners redraw. The 5 heat winners from tonight’s event went into the redraw and Brian would get draw to get the pole position in the 50 lap A-Main event. Starting from the pole Brian would find himself shuffled back to 3rd on the start where he would go to work battling then leader Jason Feger and swapping the 2nd position a couple different times with Jimmy Mars in the early going. Early in the race Brian had found the bottom line working the best but in lap traffic would abandoned the line and would go hammer down on the cushion ultimately reeling in the #25 of Jason Feger for 2nd position. In the closing laps Brian was reeling in the #28 of Mars who was mired in lap traffic but would run out of laps having to adjust his line around lap traffic as well.
Great run for the team on this Wisconsin swing with a lot of big racing left to do.
